TOPIC:
PRESERVE YOUR SALTINESS 1
Scriptural
Reading:
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith
shall it salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to
be trodden under foot of men.” Matthew
5:13
Salt is a substance that gives flavour to food. Salt
can also be use as preservative. It also has the ability to kill and destroy organisms.
A meal without salt is tasteless. In the opening scripture, our lords Jesus
liken a believer to salt. This simply means as believers, we are to give taste to the world.
Though we are in the world. We are not of the world we are here to give
flavour to the earth. Gods plan is to restore the original glory of the earth through
the believer, he cannot come down from his throne to earth but his word in the
life of is man who is completely yielded to him is reflected on the earth.
Hence the emphasis on the believers saltiness. How can a believer exhibit the
properties of a salt that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
he is not allowed to speak like the people of the world.
Your speech should minister life unto a dying soul by that you have preserved
that foam hell. Your counsel should be able to prevent some one form committing
sin. When the counsel of a christain leads to destruction of a soul, then, that
christain has lost his saltiness. As a salt, you are to be of good example to
your family, and society. Not only in speech, but in deeds as well.
PRAYER
My Father, my father, as I pray now my saltiness
will not be discarded by mere man.
