TOPIC: MISSING OUT ON GOD'S BLESSINGS?
TEXT: Matthew 2:2-3 (KJV) "Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him,
The wise men saw the star of Jesus, recognized it as the star of a king and wanted to identify with the king of Glory. They were seeking Him to be a blessing to him. Just the way your star can attract trouble, your star can attract favours.

TODAY'S READING: PSALM 106
TOPIC: WE HAVE SEEN HIS STAR
TEXT: "Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." Matthew 2:2.

Everyman born has a star or stars. A star is a symbol of destiny. There are people who make it their business to search for stars and their owners like the wise men. Your star determines how far you will go in life. Your star reveals your purpose and assignment. Your star opens you up to celebrations and attacks. There are people who from your birth already know that you will bring fame to your family and so they have made you their business.

OFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE, DR. MRS LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN. FRIDAY 24th NOV. 2017

TODAY'S READING: Psalm 104:1
TOPIC: MISSING OUT ON GOD'S BLESSINGS?
TEXT: Romans 8:38-39 (KJV) "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
A story was told of a man sometime ago who was eating at a Maxican fast-food restaurant. As he stood in line for service he noticed in front of him a very poor lady who looked like a street person. He concluded this because she was carrying a grocery bag filled to the top with what looked like all of her possessions in the world.

TODAY'S READING: PSALM 85
TOPIC: MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD!
TEXT: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2.
This world is a battle field, without divine help, you will suffer defeat, humiliation and shame. Without divine help which comes from the LORD ALMIGHTY, people will forget you and men will abandon you. Consider the story of Joseph in Genesis 40:9-14, Joseph expected help from a man but he was forgotten. Why? Because vain is the help of man. Psalm 60:11 says, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.”

TODAY'S READING: Esther 9:20-32
TOPIC: NEVER COMPRISE YOUR FAITH 1
TEXT: 2 Timothy 2:19 (KJV) "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."
To compromise is to do something that is against your principles or does not reach standards that you have set. In other words, as a child of God, to compromise means to do something that is against the word of God.
