RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM DAILY DEVOTION BOOK BY DR. LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN MONDAY 20TH NOV. 2017

TODAY'S READING: PSALM 85
TOPIC: MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD!
TEXT: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2.
This world is a battle field, without divine help, you will suffer defeat, humiliation and shame. Without divine help which comes from the LORD ALMIGHTY, people will forget you and men will abandon you. Consider the story of Joseph in Genesis 40:9-14, Joseph expected help from a man but he was forgotten. Why? Because vain is the help of man. Psalm 60:11 says, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.”

Joseph has forgotten this verse of the scripture hence he told the chief butler to help him. If he had remembered that vain was the help of man, he would not have asked the chief butler for help. As you are reading this today, I see divine help coming for you, from now on you shall not be forgotten. From the story of Joseph, it was divine help that came from the Lord that remembered Joseph. He would have died in the prison if not for God. You are to be confident because help is coming for you today.
One major reason why God will not allow the help of man over your life is because, if they help you, they will use it to mock you. If they have mocked you before, my God will make you. Though God will use a man to help you, but the help is very obvious that it came strictly from the Lord and the glory goes to him.
PRAYER:
O God My Helper, help me out of the troubles of life...
