TODAY'S READING Acts 14:1-20
TOPIC: CONFESS YOUR SINS
TEXT: 1 John 1:9 (KJV) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
To confess according to the New English dictionary is to admit or acknowledge a fault or sin. Sin on the other hand is an offence against a religious or moral principles, transgression of the law of God; a wicked act, an offence; a misdeed, or a fault.
Sin sometimes can be relative. If God says you should sow a seed and delay, you sin. If you disobey the instructions your parents in the Lord, you sin. You must acknowledge you were wrong and asked God for his mercy if your prayer must yield fruit. The bible assures us that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In Isaiah 1:18, God calls us to come and reason together with Him and promises to wash us to the point that no trace of sin is found in us.
PRAYER POINT:
O Lord, I receive the humility to admit all my faults and receive your mercy in Jesus name...
