DATE:MONDAY 12TH JUNE, 2017.
TODAY’S READING: 1COR. 14: 26-40
TOPIC: YOU ARE FREE
Scripture: “And ye shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free.” John 8:32.
The
Lord Jesus did not say, “The truth shall
set you free” but “the truth shall make you free”. It is imperative you
understand that these two statements are different though they may be
synonymously used.
The Lord Jesus has set us free
through His death, burial and resurrection. So, this ought to become a vital
experience for anyone that receives Christ into his heart. We were delivered
from the domain of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God ’s
dear son (Colossians 1:13). The prison bonds were broken from your life when He
set you free so that you can live in that liberty by knowledge (light); that is
when the truth makes you free.
In Hosea 4:6 God said, “My people are destroy for lack of
knowledge…” He did not say, “My people are destroyed by the devil” neither
did He say, “My people are destroyed by sin”, but by “the lack of knowledge”.
The demons are not your problem because you have overcome them (1John 4:4). Go
for the word and manifest in liberty.
Prayer point:
O Lord, help me to comprehend more of
the treasure hidden in your word in Jesus name.
