Scripture: "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice." Ephesians 4:31
Jesus made a very striking statement that shows us the reason why the enemy could not assail his soul and body. In John 14:30b, he said: "for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me." This makes us know what His Master secret was, he never permitted fear, evil speaking, anger and all the like to be found in them.
Our opening text instruccts us to put off every of such things away from us. We are not to permit such among us. Galatians 5:22 gave the kind of stuffs we are made of; these stuffs are the composite of our personalities in Christ Jesus, and they all completely oppose those found in the devil. For instance, God never speaks evil, but good.
All good and perfect things come from Him, not the other way round. He urged us in his word to speak gracious words that are capable of communicating courage in the very face of dismay. Colossians 4:6 wrath and anger are no more in god; he already poured them out on Jesus on the cross of Calvary and Christ nailed it to the cross.He gave us the spirit of boldness simply because he has not that of fear to give 2Tim 1:7
God cannot give what He does not have; He has got no fear to give but boldness. So put off and put on your Christlikeness.

My Father, My Father; by your grace, empower me to put off from within me all that can't be found in you.
