TODAY'S READING Rev. 7:1-17
TOPIC: WHY PROSPERITY IS NECESSARY
TEXT: Zechariah 1:17 "Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem,"
God wants you prosperous; the gold and silver are His but He will not force prosperity on you, you have to key into the principles of prosperity operating in the covenant and you will enjoy God's riches.
A proper understanding of the purpose of prosperity is what ensures continuous flow of kingdom wealth. Prosperity is not for a show up or for arrogance, it is not to intimidate or oppress the poor. It is not for political power but for kingdom purpose. May God give you understanding as we progress.
From our opening text, it is obvious that the kingdom of God cannot advanced without prosperity. The gospel is free but the means of propagating is not free. Every tool that is needed to spread the good news of our LORD JESUS has cost implications. God wants His cities to spread, but that would require money. So, if you truly love the gospel and you are faithful to your Lord and King, you will subscribe to the kingdom principles that bring about prosperity. Such principles includes tithing, offering, sowing and given to the neady.
PRAYER
My Father, My Father, open my eyes to realize the need of prosperity and help me to take advantage of your principles that brings about prosperity.
