OFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE, FROM THE DESK OF GOD'S ORACLE APOSTLE PROF. JOHNSON SULEMAN. FRIDAY 15th DEC. 2017

TODAY'S READING - Isaiah 60:1-22
TOPIC: FULFILLING YOUR PARENTAL DUTIES 2
TEXT: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Time is a very important thing you should in invest on your children, not only money. Please don't neglect your children! Many children are growing rebellious today because their parents are not there to love them.
Their parents left their upbringing in the hands of maids, relatives etc. Your children need your love, care and attention. The children upbringing you give them today, will remain with them for life, and they can impart the same to their children's children (Proverbs 13:22). Remember that the children of today are the men of tomorrow. You need to create in your children a hunger for God and His word. Teach them to seek after God. This requires your personal involvement. To make them love to pray, you pray alone with them in devotions, then let them exercise themselves in such godly act on their own and get a feedback from them. So also in studying habits. At a very tender age you must be involved. Whatever habit you want your children to have, be an example of such.
You can begin to fashion, mould and sharpen the life and destiny of your children right from the womb. Begin to confess the word of God over them. Father's and Mother's rise up each day and prophesy the comforting words of God to your child. It is your responsibility.

PRAYER
My Father, My God, as I begin to pray, help me to fulfill my parental responsibilities to my children.
